Samuel Adams Black Lager
I think this might be my first American schwarzbier. I have tried many different German and Danish ones but never one from the US. I have to say this is a quite worthy of bearing the schwarz style. Pours totally black with almost no head. Smells awesome, dark roasted malts and a nice chocolately note. The taste has all the things I love about a good schwarzbier. Rich roasty chocolate and coffee, balanced by a nice bitter finish with a nice very subtle coffee aftertaste. I would love some recommendations for other nice American Schwarzbiers.
