Brygværket Mørk Malt Bamset Brown Ale Brewery: Brygværket

Type: Brown Ale (or so they say)

Alcohol: 5%

Country: Denmark

Well a new beer from Brygværket appears in my local grocery store, I have to try it. This one is called "Teddy Bear Brown Ale". I am not sure if I would categorize this one as a brown ale, it is more a dark IPA in my opinion. Pours a pleasant brown color with a giant lingering head. The scent is the first indicator that something is different. Big hops, it is almost all you can smell is the floral citrus hops smell. Oh and what do you know it transfers over into the taste as well. No dry nuttiness or semi sweet darkness of a normal brown ale, just a puch in the face of hops. Big piney taste overpowers everything from start to finish. I would say that this is a decent drinkable IPA, but if you want to call it a brown ale...
