Flying Dog International Arms Race
Type: Ancient Herbed Ale
Wow this is the weirdest "IPA" I have ever tasted. I guess it must be hard to make a 0 IBU IPA. Pours a very watery amber color with a respectable head on it, about two fingers. The smell is very very sweet. Sweet malt smell and fruitiness, not a lot of bitterness in the nose. The taste is the strangest part. Very fruity grape type taste, like a watered down wine.can definitely pick up the pale malt in the sweetness and a bit of spice from different herbs. Really an odd beer to taste, I might add it really doesn't taste like beer. The mouthfeel is syrupy and sweet. I had heard these were not great bit I thought it was a novel idea and had to have a taste.
