Rte. 113 India Pale Ale
Pours out a deep burned orange color with a massive head. This is the type of stuff fluffy white head I love to see on a big pint of IPA. The nose is very subtle, nice floral and spicy smell but not a whole lot going on there. The malt really comes through on this IPA. Biscuit and caramel notes blend nicely with the spicey hop bitterness. This beer is made with a mix of hops and comes off different then most big citrus forward American style IPAs, this has more of the spicey floral and pine of a good English style IPA. It is a nice change actually. The mouthfeel is very dry and lingering. It is fizzy and refreshing without being watery. This is a very good IPA if you are looking for a change in flavors from citrusy beers this is a nice break. Great beer that deserves every star.
