A Christmas beer from Mikkeller. This pours very dark with a small head that dissipates rapidly. Smells very spicy and fruity, as it should as a Belgian strong ale. The taste is of fruit and caramel, but not overly sweet. The caramel malt and ripe fruit gives way to a spicy finish that I would describe as cloves and the distinct taste of bananas and Belgian yeast. Probably one if the best Christmas beers I have ever tasted. It is extremely drinkable for a very high alcohol beer. Would be a welcome addition to any Christmas celebration and thats why I have saved it for the 24th. This is my favorite Christmas beer of 2012!
