Type: Imperial Stout
This beer is absolutely black, there are no other adjectives. This is not a tan head it is brown, it eats tan for breakfast. It doesn't stick around for long but it leaves a lot if lacing on the glass. It has a pronounced alcohol smell backed up by huge malt smell and roastiness. The taste begins as ultra sweet, but before it becomes overbearing it drops off into a bitter but smooth chocolate taste. I won't say you can't taste the booze, but it is very well balanced by other flavors. This is a really great balanced beer I would recommend. I would love to get ahold if the barrel aged editions.
