This is a really really strong tasting Schwartzbier. Usually this type of beer leans towards a licorice or coffee taste, this one is firmly in the licorice camp. It has a strong bitter aftertaste but it is not unpleasantly so. If you are a fan of Schwartzbier then this is a nice one to try, second best Danish schwartz I have tasted. (that is a useless statement.)
